EM50 Non-radio: The Em50 is a self-contained data logger built to power, read, and log data from five sensors. All Decagon sensors work with the Em50; no programming is necessary. The Em50 doesn’t need an enclosure or an external power source. The logger case itself is rated NEMA 4, IP55 for long-term outdoor use, and the logger will run (and power its sensors) for one to three years on 5 AA batteries. Data can be collected from the EM50 with a laptop or Field PC.

EM50R Radio: The Em50R lets you download data without plugging into your data logger as long as you are within radio range*. The Em50R is a self-contained data logger built to power, read, and log data from five sensors. Logged data are transmitted via radio signal to a Decagon base station (DataStation or RM-1). All Decagon sensors work with the Em50R; no programming is necessary.

EM50G: The Em50G is a self-contained data logger built to power, read, and log data from five sensors. Logged data are transmitted from the logger to Decagon’s server via internal cellular/mobile communication. All Decagon sensors work with the Em50G; no programming is necessary.
