Photosynthetically Active Radiation Sensor: AccuPAR LP-80

As soon as you turn it on, the LP-80 begins to make real-time measurements of Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) that you can save with the push of a button. When used with the external PAR sensor, the LP-80 makes simultaneous measurements above and below the canopy. Leaf Area Index (LAI) is calculated and displayed with each PAR measurement. Stored data can be viewed on-screen or downloaded to a computer using the interface cable. Download AccuLink (version 2.2)

How it works

The AccuPAR model LP-80 is a linear PAR ceptometer consisting of an integrated probe and microcontroller. The probe is 86.5 cm long and contains 80 sensors that are sensitive to the PAR waveband. The microcontroller interprets the PAR signals coming from the probe, allowing you to read PAR. It also calculates LAI of your samples instantly with each PAR measurement you take, using the intercepted and available PAR and other variables.
